Senior Data Science Analyst

About This Role

As an OptimusAI Senior Data Science Analyst, you will leverage AI to enhance productivity for leading companies in the Energy and Materials sector. You will collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team, using creativity and analytics expertise to improve client performance in areas like energy efficiency and product quality, while also supporting product development and shaping the product roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Help leading companies across the Energy and Materials sector unlock their full productivity potential using AI
• Use creativity and analytics expertise to enhance client performance in areas such as energy efficiency, product quality, and capacity
• Work side-by-side with client's process engineers and analytics specialists
• Communicate work to executive audiences
• Collaborate with talented product engineers to develop innovative products and algorithms
• Help codify best practices and radiate impact internally and externally
• Shape the product roadmap
• Travel to client sites, locally and around the world

Requirements

• Degree in computer science, applied statistics, mathematics, analytics, engineering, or machine learning
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience in advanced analytics, ideally in heavy industry
• Ability to write clean and efficient code in Python
• Ability to apply and advise on state-of-the-art analytics, machine learning, and optimization techniques
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Experience in facilitating discussions with leadership

Qualifications

• Degree in a discipline such as computer science, applied statistics, mathematics, analytics, engineering, machine learning or equivalent
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience in advanced analytics, ideally in the context of heavy industry

Nice to Have

• Experience in using cloud computing resources (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
