Business Analyst - Private Capital

About This Role

As a Business Analyst in the Private Capital practice, you will work in teams to solve complex client problems, focusing on valuation principles and strategic thinking. This involves gathering and analyzing information, formulating hypotheses, and developing recommendations for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze information
• Formulate and test hypotheses
• Develop and communicate recommendations to leadership
• Develop frameworks to analyze business problems using qualitative and quantitative approaches
• Work on financial benchmarking and business modeling
• Conduct extensive due diligence work, including collecting historical deal-related information, reviewing contracts, analyzing data, and identifying risks
• Conduct competitor analysis, financial analysis, and valuation

Requirements

• Undergraduate or master’s degree
• 1+ years of work experience after undergraduate degree
• 1+ years due diligence experience in a consulting firm, investment bank, or major corporation
• Outstanding record of academic achievement
• Demonstrated experience or strong interest in the investing industry
• Proficiency in financial analysis, including financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment
• Demonstrated aptitude for analytics and Excel fluency with exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
• Strong record of leadership in an academic, professional or extracurricular setting
• Ability to communicate complex ideas in English effectively, both verbally and in writing
