Senior Cook

About This Role

The Senior Cook is responsible for producing assigned food products (BBQ, Hot Food, Dim Sum, Sushi) based on orders and assisting the Head Cook with food preparation, quality checks, and inventory management, while ensuring kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, handle, clean, cut, marinate, cook, and produce assigned food products (BBQ, Hot Food, Dim Sum, Sushi) based on orders and production plans
• Store incoming ingredients and products properly, ensuring appropriate conditions and FIFO practices
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of own station, including all equipment and tools, before and after each shift
• Ensure recipes, ingredient specifications, quantity, quality, and cooking times adhere to SOPs
• Monitor and ensure the kitchen meets sanitation standards set by the Head Chef, Food Safety team, and public health authority
• Ensure product quality, food safety, and freshness are strictly practiced
• Handle and store food correctly at all times, maintaining all temperature records
• Manage cleanliness, sanitation, and equipment maintenance, handling garbage and recycled materials efficiently

Requirements

• 5 years of related experience in a kitchen environment
• Knowledge, skills, and experience in making Kitchen products (BBQ, Hot Foods, Dim Sum, Sushi and/or others Semi-finished Products)
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety protocols
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and statutory holidays

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience

Nice to Have

• Proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin)
