This role supports the Business Unit Leader and Sr. Director of Business Development in executing strategies for business development and sales in the Advanced Technology Facilities (ATF) sector, focusing on identifying key account opportunities and coordinating internal resources. The Senior Manager maintains and grows customer relationships through ethical sales practices and strategic engagement. This person will lead the sales process, including client engagement, proposal development, contract negotiation, and deal closure, ensuring alignment with company goals and client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Business Unit Leader and Director of Business Development to identify, qualify, and pursue strategic ATF accounts that align with business growth objectives
- Lead the sales process for assigned opportunities, including client engagement, proposal development, contract negotiation, and deal closure
- Manage the development of high-quality proposals and presentations in collaboration with estimating, planning, operations, and marketing teams
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, serving as a primary point of contact
- Collaborate with global and regional business units (GBU/RBU) to ensure seamless integration of business development efforts
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies, providing insights to leadership
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to promote capabilities and thought leadership
- Maintain accurate records of business development activities in the CRM system and provide regular updates, forecasts, and performance reports
- Support junior business development staff through coaching, training, and sharing best practices
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of business development processes, tools, and methodologies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or Related Field
- 10+ years of experience in a Business Development or Sales role
- Prior experience in the construction and/or engineering industry
