This Senior Accountant position reports to the Controller of a growing manufacturing company and is responsible for managing financial statements, analyzing costs, and coordinating inventory.
Responsibilities
- Generate customer billings
- Oversee and provide backup for customer billings, collections, cash receipts, Accounts Payable, and weekly check runs
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Manage and reconcile the company’s fixed asset database and depreciation schedules
- Reconcile trial balance to generate interim and annual financial statements
- Prepare weekly/monthly/annual reports as appropriate
- Develop and maintain all work center rates and analysis
- Analyze cost of goods sold for accuracy and insight
- Coordinate annual physical inventory counts and monitor inventory valuation reports
- Assist with various projects and data analysis as assigned by management
Requirements
- Four-year accounting or finance degree
- Minimum 2-year experience in accounting or finance
- Understanding of accounting policies and principles
- In-depth experience with Microsoft products and spreadsheet applications
Qualifications
- Four-year accounting or finance degree
- Minimum 2-year experience in accounting or finance, preferred in a manufacturing environment
Nice to Have
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with data analysis tasks
