Senior Accountant

About This Role

This Senior Accountant position reports to the Controller of a growing manufacturing company and is responsible for managing financial statements, analyzing costs, and coordinating inventory.

Responsibilities

• Generate customer billings
• Oversee and provide backup for customer billings, collections, cash receipts, Accounts Payable, and weekly check runs
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Manage and reconcile the company’s fixed asset database and depreciation schedules
• Reconcile trial balance to generate interim and annual financial statements
• Prepare weekly/monthly/annual reports as appropriate
• Develop and maintain all work center rates and analysis
• Analyze cost of goods sold for accuracy and insight
• Coordinate annual physical inventory counts and monitor inventory valuation reports
• Assist with various projects and data analysis as assigned by management

Requirements

• Four-year accounting or finance degree
• Minimum 2-year experience in accounting or finance
• Understanding of accounting policies and principles
• In-depth experience with Microsoft products and spreadsheet applications

Qualifications

• Four-year accounting or finance degree
• Minimum 2-year experience in accounting or finance, preferred in a manufacturing environment

Nice to Have

• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with data analysis tasks
