Senior Accountant

About This Role

Join our accounting team as a Senior Accountant, focused on ensuring accounting integrity, managing accounts payable and receivable, and owning the month-end close process for a fast-growing digital mailbox company.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions
• Review and manage accounts payable and receivable
• Reconcile accounts: AP, AR, prepaids, accruals, cash, etc.
• Own month end and ensure completion in an accurate and timely manner
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
• Work with the Controller and external auditors to complete the audit process
• Maintain the general ledger and perform other accounting duties as assigned
• Ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP requirements
• Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or relevant
• 3-5 years’ experience in accounting/finance
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month end close process
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or relevant
• 3-5 years’ experience in accounting/finance

• Experience working in a SaaS business
• Experience with NetSuite
• CPA
