About This Role

This Senior Accountant position supports the financial operations of a professional consulting firm, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional seeking direct impact within a small-company environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and reconcile cash receipts across 8-10 payment platforms
  • Accurately record vendor and consultant invoices in a timely manner
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices across multiple departments using Salesforce data
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries; perform bank and account reconciliations
  • Produce weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and year-end financial reports
  • Perform balance sheet account analyses and reconciliations
  • Maintain and update internal trend reporting and databases
  • Support ad hoc accounting projects and process improvements

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Qualifications

Nice to Have

  • CPA preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition
  • Advanced Excel and QuickBooks proficiency
  • Experience with accruals, deferrals, and prepaid expenses
  • Experience working with multiple payment platforms
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and professionalism
  • Collaborative mindset with willingness to mentor and improve processes
