Senior Accountant

About This Role

This role involves leading the month-end close process, preparing financial statements, and ensuring GAAP compliance for a wholesale distribution organization. The Senior Accountant will report directly to a Divisional Controller and interact with auditors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze financial statements (Balance Sheet & Income Statement)
• Support fixed asset accounting and financial reporting
• Ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to internal policies
• Partner with third-party auditors during audit cycles
• Generate ad-hoc financial reports and support special projects
• Identify process improvements and leverage technology tools

Requirements

• 4+ years of financial accounting experience
• Strong exposure to fixed assets, financial reporting, and audit support
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Macros)
• Experience with ERP systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of financial accounting experience

Nice to Have

• Public and/or private accounting experience preferred
• Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP
• Experience in retail, wholesale, or distribution environments
