About This Role

This role involves leading the month-end close process, preparing financial statements, and ensuring GAAP compliance for a wholesale distribution organization. The Senior Accountant will report directly to a Divisional Controller and interact with auditors.

Responsibilities

Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries and reconciliations
Prepare and analyze financial statements (Balance Sheet & Income Statement)
Support fixed asset accounting and financial reporting
Ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to internal policies
Partner with third-party auditors during audit cycles
Generate ad-hoc financial reports and support special projects
Identify process improvements and leverage technology tools

Requirements

4+ years of financial accounting experience
Strong exposure to fixed assets, financial reporting, and audit support
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Macros)
Experience with ERP systems

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
4+ years of financial accounting experience

Nice to Have

Public and/or private accounting experience preferred
Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP
Experience in retail, wholesale, or distribution environments
