Senior Accountant

About This Role

The Senior Accountant analyzes financial information, prepares financial reports, and manages various accounting activities to maintain accurate financial records for an organization. This role requires knowledge of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606) and involves working 3 days a week in a hybrid setup.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, and prepare periodic reports comparing budgeted to actual costs.
• Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems utilizing current computer technology.
• Perform various account reconciliations for cash and inter-company accounts.
• Establish and assign entries to proper accounts in the General Ledger.

Requirements

• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience
• Knowledge of revenue recognition principles ASC 606
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
• Previous experience in month-end close processes
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Ability to prepare and process journal entries

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience

Nice to Have

• CPA designation
• Sarbanes Oxley compliance experience
• Lawson Software experience
