Manage staff, scheduling, and payroll for Security Professionals, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with company policies. This role involves interviewing, hiring, and providing coaching and disciplinary actions for security personnel.
Responsibilities
- Interview and hire qualified applicants for open post positions, following company guidelines
- Make initial job offers and transfers, offering rates, schedules, and benefits aligned with post contract requirements
- Create, modify, and manage post schedules to ensure adequate coverage at all times
- Ensure all positions are staffed according to contract requirements and manage branch overtime effectively
- Receive weekly time-sheets, update schedules, and run bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies
- Process requests for final paychecks, anniversary bonuses, and other pay-related issues, and execute their distribution
- Conduct disciplinary and counseling sessions with Security Professionals, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up
- Initiate termination procedures for voluntary and involuntary separations and complete all follow-up documentation
- Maintain regular proactive contact with Security Professionals to ensure effective utilization, training, and placement
- Maintain high employee morale and low employee turnover through effective communications and timely problem resolution
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of professional-level experience managing non-exempt employees in a fast-paced, service organization
- Ability to secure a valid Guard License if required by the state
- Ability to write effective and concise reports and document investigations and counseling sessions
- Demonstrated working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office software
- Ability to learn and efficiently operate various timekeeping and payroll programs (e.g., Winteam, eHub, CyCop)
- Customer service oriented with ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels
- Energetic and focused personality with ability to take initiative and manage multiple assignments
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of professional-level experience managing non-exempt employees in a fast-paced, service organization
Nice to Have
- Prior security industry and/or military experience
- College degree or coursework
- Prior experience in law enforcement and/or customer service
- Experience in scheduling, operations and/or employee management in a service-related industry
