Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Rounds

About This Role

As an Unarmed Security Officer, provide security and customer service in a healthcare setting, conducting patrols and responding to incidents to ensure safety and support staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely communication with site contacts and/or emergency services as directed
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter prohibited activity and/or unauthorized access
• Monitor access points and public areas, observe for unusual activity, and assist with visitor wayfinding and/or policy reminders in accordance with post orders
• Document and report incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns, complete shift logs, and participate in briefings and/or handoffs in line with Allied Universal standards and site requirements

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age for unarmed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

• high school diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
• Access control and/or badge experience
• Customer service experience
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet
