Security Officer - Warehouse Access Control

About This Role

This role involves serving and safeguarding clients at a busy logistics and distribution location by managing access control, greeting visitors, verifying credentials, and tracking entries and exits. The security officer will also conduct routine patrols and communicate clearly with staff while documenting activity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies
• Perform emergency response activities when appropriate at a logistics and distribution location
• Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and managing check-in/check-out logs
• Direct drivers and visitors to appropriate areas
• Monitor inbound and outbound traffic flow, including employee, visitor, and truck activity
• Deter unauthorized entry and/or restricted area access
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
• Document events and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as needed
• Complete required incident reports
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a background investigation
• Ability to pass a drug screen

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Guard card and/or license
• CPR certification
• First Aid certification
• Valid driver's license for driving positions
