Security Officer - Restaurant Front Desk

About This Role

As a Part-Time Security Officer at a fast-paced food and beverage distribution location, you will be the first point of contact and play a key role in maintaining a secure, professional environment. This position involves managing access control, monitoring activity, and responding to incidents at the front desk.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities
• Staff the front desk to manage access control by greeting visitors, verifying identification, issuing badges, and directing individuals
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or access control systems from the front desk
• Document unusual activity and escalate concerns according to post orders
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
• Coordinate notifications to site leadership and emergency services when appropriate
• Complete required reports and logs, including visitor entries, incident documentation, and shift turnover communication

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age (for unarmed roles)
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
