Security Officer - Power Station Rounds

About This Role

Serve and safeguard clients in a power station setting by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine rounds, and documenting observations. This role contributes to a safe environment and provides customer service to employees and visitors within a utilities location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at utility locations
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, yards, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity
• Control access by monitoring gates, doors, and entry points; verify identification and/or work authorization; and direct visitors, contractors, and deliveries according to site requirements
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation, monitor alarms and/or cameras where assigned, and communicate status updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a background investigation
• Ability to pass a drug screen

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Possession of a guard card/license
