Security Officer - Part-Time Foot Patrol

About This Role

Serve and safeguard clients in various industries, primarily government, by conducting foot patrols, responding to incidents, and maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related events.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government location
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance from supervisors and/or public agencies as needed
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of platforms, corridors, entrances, stairwells, and perimeter areas to help to deter prohibited activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions
• Monitor access points and passenger flow, verify credentials when required, and direct visitors and/or contractors according to posted rules and site instructions
• Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a background investigation
• Ability to pass a drug screen
