Security Officer Part Time

About This Role

Serve and safeguard clients in retail environments as a Part-Time Security Officer, performing walking patrols, monitoring activity, and responding to incidents. This role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical situations, disturbances and/or alarms
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, stock areas, entrances, parking areas and the perimeter
• Monitor pedestrian and vehicle traffic, observe for suspicious behavior and/or conditions
• Communicate updates to site leadership, Allied Universal supervision and/or local authorities when needed
• Complete written reports and log entries, document incidents and patrol activity
• Assist with access control, receipt checks and/or loss prevention support as directed by site policy

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age (for unarmed roles)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
• CPR and/or First Aid certification
• Customer service experience
• Access control and/or badge experience
