Security Officer - Front Desk Post

As a Security Officer at a front desk post in Radnor, PA, you will primarily safeguard clients in industries like education, providing essential security and customer service functions. This role is a part-time opportunity where you welcome students, staff, and visitors while managing access control and monitoring entry activity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, students, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and customer service standards at the front desk
• Control access at the main entry by greeting visitors, confirming identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests to the appropriate destination
• Monitor lobby activity, cameras, alarms, and communication channels, reporting unusual conditions and/or maintenance concerns through the proper chain of communication
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities and coordinating with onsite personnel and/or local responders as directed
• Complete required logs and reports such as visitor entries, incident documentation, and shift activity notes, and communicate key updates during shift turnover

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of security-related experience
• At least 21 years of age (for armed roles, if applicable to this post, otherwise 18+ for unarmed)
• High school diploma or equivalent
