Serve and safeguard clients as a Security Officer Flex Office Park Rover in Montgomery, AL. Monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and provide a visible deterrent to security incidents.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, property management, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct routine access control by monitoring entrances and exits, assisting with visitor check-in, and directing guests to appropriate areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical events, and building system alarms.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance hazards or unauthorized access.
- Monitor cameras and building systems when assigned, watching for irregular activity and reporting concerns.
- Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities in written reports and/or electronic logs with clear, accurate, and timely details.
- Provide customer support by answering routine questions, offering directions within the property, and assisting with lost and found procedures.
- Enforce site rules and tenant policies in a professional manner, using verbal de-escalation techniques and requesting assistance when needed.
- Coordinate with Allied Universal supervisors and property management regarding post orders, special events, tenant move-ins and/or move-outs, and contractor work.
- Operate and maintain post equipment such as radios, access control devices, and report writing tools, and report equipment issues.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license (for driving positions)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screen
