Serve and safeguard clients in a government setting as a Part-Time Security Officer, greeting visitors, verifying credentials, and conducting security screenings. This role supports a welcoming and controlled entry experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors following site-specific screening procedures and access policies
- Operate screening equipment and perform screening of persons, packages, and property in accordance with post orders
- Direct individuals through checkpoints and manage secondary screening when needed
- Control entry by verifying identification, credentials, and authorized access lists
- Issue temporary badges as directed and maintain orderly queues at screening areas
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
- Escalate concerns through the chain of command and document actions taken
- Complete required documentation such as screening logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports
- Communicate notable conditions to Allied Universal management and site representatives
Requirements
- 2+ years of security experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of security experience required. Must be at least 21 years of age.
Nice to Have
- X-Ray screening experience
