Security Officer - Discovery District

About This Role

As a Security Officer in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in tech and telecom industries by conducting routine patrols, monitoring access points, and responding to incidents. You will maintain a highly visible presence to mitigate security issues and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including offices, lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access points and check doors, gates, and restricted areas for unusual activity and/or policy violations.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior, unauthorized persons, and/or hazards to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation in a clear, timely manner, including activity logs and patrol documentation.
• Provide direction and assistance to employees, contractors, and visitors, including answering questions and helping with wayfinding.
• Support access control processes by verifying identification and/or authorization as directed by site procedures.
• Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, and radios, and communicate updates to site contacts as needed.
• Coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and local emergency services when required, and assist with evacuations and/or shelter instructions per site procedures.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 6 months of security-related experience.

Nice to Have

• CPR certification
• Guard card and/or license
• Customer service experience
