Serve and safeguard clients on a college campus by conducting routine patrols, deterring security-related incidents, and responding to calls for assistance. Provide customer service and support to students, staff, and visitors while documenting observations.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, residence areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes
- Help deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns
- Monitor access points and campus activity, verify credentials when required, and assist with visitor directions and general inquiries
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
- Document observations, notify appropriate contacts, and support campus personnel as directed
- Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation
- Communicate security-related information to Allied Universal supervisors and site contacts
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age (unarmed)
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Subject to a background investigation
- Subject to a drug screen
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice to Have
- State, county, or city issued security license
