Security Officer - College Campus Patrol

About This Role

Serve and safeguard clients on a college campus by conducting routine patrols, deterring security-related incidents, and responding to calls for assistance. Provide customer service and support to students, staff, and visitors while documenting observations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, residence areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes
• Help deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns
• Monitor access points and campus activity, verify credentials when required, and assist with visitor directions and general inquiries
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
• Document observations, notify appropriate contacts, and support campus personnel as directed
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation
• Communicate security-related information to Allied Universal supervisors and site contacts

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age (unarmed)
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Subject to a background investigation
• Subject to a drug screen

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

• State, county, or city issued security license
