As a Part-Time Security Officer in West Point, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in the automotive industry. This role involves monitoring assigned areas, conducting patrols, providing customer service, and responding to incidents, contributing to a secure and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to client personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
- Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by verifying identification, logging visitors, issuing temporary badges, and/or coordinating entry approvals.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office, production, warehouse, and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor alarms, access control systems, radios, and camera systems when assigned, and report irregularities according to post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and fire-related conditions.
- Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity reports, and communicate status updates to site leadership.
- Support receiving and shipping operations by observing truck arrivals and departures, documenting trailer and seal information, and/or directing drivers.
- Conduct initial response to building and perimeter checks, including door and gate checks, lighting observations, and reporting maintenance needs.
- Assist with crowd and traffic flow during shift changes, deliveries, special events, and high-volume visitor periods.
- Operate in varying indoor and outdoor environments and conditions, including standing and walking assignments.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age (21+ for armed roles)
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation
- Ability to pass a drug screen (where permitted by law)
