Security Officer

About This Role

This Security Officer role serves as a screener at a logistics and distribution location, safeguarding clients, monitoring assigned areas, and deterring security-related incidents through patrols and access control. This position involves direct interaction with visitors and staff, providing customer service and supporting security operations with a focus on teamwork and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate
• Screen individuals, packages, and/or materials entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location according to established protocols
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order at the location
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution facility and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activities
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of personnel and visitors as required by site procedures
• Document and report any irregularities or incidents according to Allied Universal and client protocols
• Work collaboratively with team members and site personnel to support security-related operations

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age (21+ for armed roles)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

• X-Ray screening experience
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet
• Customer service experience
• Access control or badge experience
• Loss prevention experience
