As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist, you will safeguard clients in various industries by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas within an aerospace and defense location.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the location, including access control responsibilities
- Monitor and manage entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the facility
- Verify credentials and/or identification of personnel, visitors, and contractors in accordance with established protocols
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures as required
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and report any irregularities
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all access control activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as directed by site management
- Communicate professionally and courteously with employees, visitors, and contractors while upholding Allied Universal standards
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age (unarmed roles)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- New York State Security Guard License
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice to Have
- CPR certification
- Customer service experience
- Experience with access control and/or badge systems
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet
