About This Role

As an Access Control Officer, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, greet tenants and visitors, and support orderly lobby traffic at a commercial real estate location. Your role is crucial in deterring incidents and ensuring a safe and secure environment for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by following security procedures and access requirements at a commercial property location
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized guests
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems for irregular activity and deter unauthorized entry
  • Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating updates to contacts and emergency responders
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, offices, and the perimeter, documenting observations and reporting maintenance issues or policy violations

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a background investigation
  • Ability to pass a drug screen
