Security Guard

About This Role

Foot Locker is seeking Security Guards to maintain a secure and positive shopping environment in Midtown Manhattan stores by deterring theft and providing customer service. This role focuses on loss prevention and ensuring the safety of employees and merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive customer shopping experience and maintain strong store partnership with store teams and Loss Prevention
• Execute security services as outlined in post orders and directed by Security leads
• Maintain a strong presence on the sales floor and/or front door with courteous and professional interactions
• Provide an effective deterrent to theft through customer engagement and a professional presence
• Monitor store entrance/exit responding to the EAS system in a friendly customer service approach
• Sign in/out employees and vendors, verifying Foot Locker merchandise and purchases
• Stand in a professional position for up to an entire shift
• Act as a customer-friendly visual deterrent to crime
• Observe and report suspicious activities and persons on property
• Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily incident reports
• Communicate shrink-related concerns to Store Management and Loss Prevention

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid NY State security guard license (may be in the process or obtaining)
• Good communication skills
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities
• Highest level of personal integrity
• Punctual, reliable, and able to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, and weekends
