Security Guard

About This Role

As an unarmed Security Guard at a leading tech location in Santa Clara, CA, you will conduct routine patrols, provide customer service, and support employees and visitors while documenting observations and responding to incidents. This role supports a safe and secure environment for a media site.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to client employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders, and assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office areas, labs, common spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance issues.
• Monitor access points and screen visitors and/or deliveries as assigned, verify identification and authorization, issue temporary credentials when directed, and help maintain orderly lobby and campus traffic flow.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disputes, medical calls, and unauthorized access concerns, and coordinate with site contacts and public responders as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations in daily activity logs and incident reports, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

• 1+ years of security experience
• 21+ years of age (for armed roles) or 18 years of age (for unarmed roles)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license (for driving positions)

Qualifications

• high school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of security experience

Nice to Have

• Comfortable using computer or tablet
• CPR certification
• First Aid certification
