About This Role

The Section Manager, Production Support provides strategic leadership for the daily operations and continuous optimization of Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM and other HR technologies. This role leads a high-performing techno-functional team, partnering with various stakeholders to ensure resilient, secure, and compliant system operations. The Manager will drive governance, data integrity, and operational excellence across HR technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM and other HR systems, guiding production support and release management while driving alignment between HR, IT, and business stakeholders.
  • Deliver timely, high-quality defect and service request resolution by partnering with technical teams on triage, root cause analysis, and remediation, while managing security administration and maintaining SOX controls.
  • Oversee approval of production changes including configuration, testing strategies, and deployment plans to ensure high quality delivery of changes and enhancements.
  • Direct and oversee all testing activities including test planning, script review, execution oversight, user acceptance coordination, and regression testing for quarterly Oracle HCM releases, patches, and enhancements.
  • Ensure stable production operations through proactive monitoring, issue prevention, and thorough impact assessments.
  • Maintain audit ready system documentation, including operating procedures, functional specifications, and data management materials.
  • Ensure compliance with PII/PHI policies, data privacy standards, internal controls, and Con Edison Standards of Business Conduct and corporate values.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop staff while fostering a collaborative, high performing team culture focused on problem solving and accountability.
  • Build strong partnerships across HR Centers of Excellence, Payroll, Talent Management and IT to support effective cross functional execution.
  • Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, innovation, and best practice adoption.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years Human Resource, IT or related experience with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Staff management, motivation, and professional growth.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and exercise strict adherence to Personally Identifiable Information (PII) policies and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and render sound decisions.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers, team members, and all levels of management.
  • Strong aptitude for analyzing technical challenges, managing priorities, and delegating work as needed.
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities, including process evaluation, workflow development, data interpretation, and root cause identification.
  • High level of energy and be self-reliant, resourceful, and flexible to handle multiple assignments with excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with high levels of ambiguity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with a solid working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8 years of overall work experience, including a minimum of 3-5 years in Human Resources, IT, or a related role. Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with Oracle HCM Cloud and SHRM certification.
  • Union workforce experience and budget oversight expertise.
