Operating Supervisor Gas Pressure Control

About This Role

Direct and coordinate Pressure Control Operating Mechanic activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and supporting gas distribution projects. Oversee field operations, administer procedures, and maintain equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Interface with interstate gas transmission pipeline representatives
• Perform mandated regulator equipment inspections and maintenance
• Support central & regional sponsored gas distribution capital and maintenance projects
• Perform mandated safety inspections and maintenance activities
• Provide department manager with accurate and timely information concerning activities and performance
• Assist with regional operating sections and manage activities related to department goals
• Prioritize field operations including seasonal pressure adjustments and annual performance tests
• Administer and communicate operating procedures, engineering, plans, and specifications
• Monitor and analyze activities to ensure attainment of corporate and PSC related performance goals
• Provide a workplace environment that fosters professionalism, safety, honesty, courtesy, concern, excellence and teamwork

Requirements

• 2 years gas regulators and elevated pressure regulating equipment maintenance experience
• Knowledge of gas transmission and distribution systems
• Ability to use small hand and power tools
• Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree or High School Diploma/GED
• 2 years full time work experience in the operation and maintenance of a gas distribution system with a Bachelor's Degree, or 4 years with an Associate's Degree, or 5 years with a High School Diploma/GED.
