Seasonal Retail Sales Associate

About This Role

Provide excellent customer service as a Seasonal Retail Sales Associate, assisting customers with their needs, managing merchandise, and maintaining a safe and organized store environment for Lowe's.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service at all times through execution of Lowe's policies, procedures and programs
• Seek out customers to understand their needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise
• Listen to and respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and associate questions
• Demonstrate sincere appreciation to customers
• Communicate information to customers regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information
• Write customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs (Tool Rental Department)
• Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store
• Detect common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks, and promptly communicate them to management and/or Asset Protection
• Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and programs (e.g., Zone Recovery)
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment by noting hazards, keeping aisles clear, and securing doors and gates
• Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to one’s regular job duties
• Operate store equipment as needed depending on role and department

Requirements

• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• Less than 1 Year Retail experience, performing tasks such as: identifying and selling products, explaining warranties, assisting customers, building customer relationships, identifying and resolving customer issues, zone recovery, and housekeeping
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year experience using a computer and common retail technology; Less than 1 year retail experience.
