Seasonal Cashier

About This Role

Provide excellent customer service as a Seasonal Cashier at Lowe's, assisting customers with their needs, processing transactions, and maintaining store cleanliness while ensuring a safe shopping environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by executing Lowe's policies and procedures daily
• Seek out customers to understand their needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise
• Listen to and respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and associate questions
• Communicate information to customers regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs
• Write customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs (Tool Rental Department)
• Train cross-functionally in other areas of the store to enhance customer service
• Detect and promptly communicate common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks to management and/or Asset Protection
• Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and programs to maintain cleanliness and organization of store and working areas
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment, including daily safety reviews, noting hazards, keeping aisles clear, and securing doors and gates
• Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to regular job duties
• Operate store equipment as needed depending on specific role and department

Requirements

• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• Less than 1 Year Retail experience, performing tasks such as: identifying and selling products, explaining warranties, assisting customers, resolving issues, zone recovery, and housekeeping

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year experience using a computer and common retail technology; less than 1 year retail experience.

Nice to Have

• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
