Seasonal Retail Sales Associate

About This Role

Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with locating, selecting, and understanding merchandise. Support store operations by maintaining cleanliness, ensuring safety, and detecting security risks.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service through daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programs
• Seek out customers to understand needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise
• Listen to and respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and associate questions
• Communicate information to customers regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty
• Write customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs (Tool Rental Department)
• Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service
• Detect common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks and communicate to management/Asset Protection
• Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards to maintain cleanliness and organization of store and working areas
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment by noting hazards, keeping aisles clear, and securing doors and gates
• Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to regular job duties: top stock safety, power equipment, spotters, and safety devices
• Operate store equipment as needed depending on specific role and department

Requirements

• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• Less than 1 Year Retail experience, performing tasks such as: identifying and selling products, explaining warranties and benefits, assisting customers, building relationships, resolving issues, zone recovery, and housekeeping
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of experience using a computer, common retail technology, and retail experience
