About This Role

The Seasonal Retail Sales Associate provides excellent customer service by assisting customers with their needs, demonstrating product knowledge, and ensuring a safe and organized store environment. This role involves communicating product information, handling contracts, and cross-training in various departments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide SMART customer service by executing Lowe's customer service policies and programs.
  • Assist customers with locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
  • Respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and associate questions.
  • Communicate information about stock, special orders, feature benefits, and warranty information.
  • Write customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs in the Tool Rental Department.
  • Train cross-functionally in other areas of the store to enhance customer service.
  • Detect and communicate signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks to management or Asset Protection.
  • Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and programs to maintain store cleanliness and organization.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment by conducting safety reviews, noting hazards, and securing areas.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to job duties, including top stock safety, power equipment use, and safety devices.
  • Operate store equipment such as Zebra phones, paging systems, computers, and various department-specific tools.

Requirements

  • Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
  • Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
  • Less than 1 Year Retail experience, performing tasks such as: identifying and selling products based on customer needs; explaining warranties, product features, and benefits; assisting customers in locating products; building customer relationships; identifying and resolving customer issues; zone recovery; and housekeeping
  • Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Qualifications

  • Less than 1 year experience using a computer for information input and modification. Less than 1 year experience using common retail technology like smartphones and tablets. Less than 1 year retail experience with tasks such as sales, explaining product features, assisting customers, and maintaining store standards.
