About This Role

This role involves providing excellent customer service in a retail environment, assisting customers with their needs, and maintaining store standards. The associate will be responsible for locating merchandise, explaining product features, and ensuring a safe shopping environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide SMART customer service through daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programs
  • Seek out customers to understand their needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise
  • Listen to and respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and associate questions
  • Communicate information to customers regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty
  • Write customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs (Tool Rental Department)
  • Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver customer service
  • Detect common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks and communicate them to management
  • Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and programs to maintain cleanliness and organization
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment, including conducting daily safety reviews and keeping aisles clear
  • Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to regular job duties, such as top stock safety and use of safety devices
  • Operate store equipment as needed depending on role and department (e.g., Zebra phone, panel saw, paint mixer)

Requirements

  • Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
  • Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
  • Less than 1 Year Retail experience, performing tasks such as: identifying and selling products based on customer needs; explaining warranties, product features, and benefits; assisting customers in locating products; building customer relationships; identifying and resolving customer issues; zone recovery; and housekeeping
  • Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

  • Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, retail technology, and retail experience
