Seasonal Merchandising Service Associate

About This Role

This role provides merchandising services and customer support within a retail store environment, focusing on maintaining product displays, ensuring accurate pricing, and assisting customers when needed to enhance their shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by executing Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs
• Build relationships with vendors by providing direction and ensuring merchandise resets are completed to Lowe's specifications
• Collaborate with the Merchandising Service team and Manager by communicating project priorities, schedule, and project needs
• Analyze metrics and provide feedback on project execution and in-store service to store, market, and corporate leaders
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise
• Move or replace beams and grids, rotate stock, build products, and display products using power equipment per reset and project instructions
• Identify damaged products, remove them from shelves, and deliver to Return to Manufacturer (RTM) area
• Verify buyback items and ensure they are pulled, prepped, and ready for shipping
• Identify damaged or missing signage, displays, and collateral and order replacements according to merchandising standards
• Confirm product pricing information is visible and clear and resolve/replace any missing pricing labels
• Update/validate wayfinding and product location signage as well as digital maintenance of this information throughout the store
• Ensure cross merchandise, side stack products, j-hooks and gravity feed bins are placed appropriately
• Work with store leadership to stage clearance and damaged merchandise for quick sale
• Sort products in bins, drawers, and boxes to ensure that they are in the proper location
• Merchandise to planogram, price, color block, and place plants as they arrive
• Review, complete, and enter completion details for all assigned merchandise reset, service, and maintenance tasks
• Ensure all reset displays are safe and in working order and repaired/replaced as needed
• Repair/seal damaged packaging and boxes including peg-hook items
• Remove all trash, move cardboard boxes to the bailer, and move plastic wrap and other debris to the compactor
• Replace light bulbs and alert the appropriate contact when additional maintenance issues are noted
• Detect common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks, and promptly communicate them to management and/or Asset Protection
• Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and programs to maintain cleanliness and organization of store and working areas
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment, which may include conducting daily safety reviews, noting hazards, keeping aisles clear, and securing doors and gates
• Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to one’s regular job duties
• Operate store equipment as needed depending on one specific role and department
• Maintain point-of-sale signage including bin plus beam label stock ensuring all bin locators are placed and price changes are activated
• Audit and update pricing labels inside and outside the store to ensure accuracy
• Follow state-specific guidelines on price changes

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED General Studies or equivalent years of experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED General Studies or equivalent years of experience
• Equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable

Nice to Have

• 6 Months of Lowe’s sales floor experience
• 6 Months of Experience performing product merchandising tasks including reading planograms and plantograms, setting up and tearing down displays
• 3 Months of Experience operating power equipment such as lifts, order pickers, and similar equipment
