About This Role

The Seasonal Cashier provides excellent customer service by assisting customers with their needs, managing transactions, and maintaining a clean and safe store environment. This role requires cross-functional training to support various store departments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide SMART customer service by executing Lowe's policies and procedures
  • Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
  • Respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer questions, guiding them through projects when necessary
  • Communicate information about stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs
  • Write customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs (Tool Rental Department)
  • Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to enhance customer service
  • Detect signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks, reporting them to management or Asset Protection
  • Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards to maintain store cleanliness and organization
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment, including conducting daily safety reviews and keeping aisles clear
  • Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to job duties, such as top stock safety and use of aisle blockers
  • Operate store equipment as needed (e.g., Zebra phone, paging system, computers, key cutter, paint mixer)

Requirements

  • Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
  • Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
  • Less than 1 Year Retail experience, performing tasks such as: identifying and selling products based on customer needs; explaining warranties, product features, and benefits; assisting customers in locating products; building customer relationships; identifying and resolving customer issues; zone recovery; and housekeeping
  • Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Qualifications

  • Less than 1 year of experience using a computer, retail technology (smart phones/tablets), and general retail tasks.
