Seasonal Cashier

About This Role

Provide excellent customer service as a Seasonal Cashier at Lowe's, assisting customers with their needs, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and safe store environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by executing Lowe's policies and procedures daily
• Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise
• Respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer questions, guiding them through the store and projects
• Communicate information regarding stock, special orders, feature benefits, and warranty information
• Write customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs (if in Tool Rental)
• Cross-functionally train in other store areas to enhance customer service
• Detect and report signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks to management
• Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards to maintain store cleanliness and organization
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment by conducting daily safety reviews and keeping aisles clear
• Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to the job, including top stock safety and use of safety devices
• Operate store equipment such as Zebra phones, paging systems, computers, and specialized tools as needed

Requirements

• Less than 1 year experience using a computer for inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 year experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• Less than 1 year retail experience performing tasks like identifying and selling products, explaining warranties, assisting customers, building relationships, resolving issues, zone recovery, and housekeeping
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as required by law

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year experience using a computer and common retail technology, and in retail tasks.
