Seasonal Cashier

About This Role

Provide excellent customer service as a Seasonal Cashier by assisting customers with their needs, demonstrating products, and processing transactions. This role also involves maintaining store cleanliness, complying with safety standards, and identifying security risks.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by executing Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs
• Assist customers with locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise based on their needs
• Respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer questions, guiding them through the store and projects
• Communicate information to customers regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty
• Write customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs (if in Tool Rental Department)
• Cross-functionally train in other store areas to enhance customer service
• Detect signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks, and communicate to management/Asset Protection
• Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and programs (e.g., Zone Recovery) to maintain store organization
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment by daily safety reviews, noting hazards, and securing doors/gates
• Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to job duties, including top stock safety, use of aisle blockers, and safety devices
• Operate store equipment as needed depending on specific role and department

Requirements

• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• Less than 1 Year Retail experience, performing tasks such as: identifying and selling products based on customer needs; explaining warranties, product features, and benefits; assisting customers in locating products; building customer relationships; identifying and resolving customer issues; zone recovery; and housekeeping

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year experience using computers and common retail technology; Less than 1 year retail experience performing various tasks.
