Seasonal Cashier

About This Role

Provide excellent customer service as a Seasonal Cashier, assisting customers with their needs, managing transactions, and maintaining a clean and safe store environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service through daily execution of policies and procedures
• Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise
• Listen to and respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and associate questions
• Communicate information regarding stock, special orders, and product features to customers
• Write customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs (Tool Rental Department)
• Cross-functionally train in other store areas to deliver the best customer service
• Detect signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks, communicating them to management
• Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards to maintain cleanliness and organization
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment, including daily safety reviews and hazard identification
• Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to job duties, such as top stock safety and power equipment use
• Operate store equipment as needed depending on specific role and department

Requirements

• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• Less than 1 Year Retail experience, performing tasks such as: identifying and selling products based on customer needs; explaining warranties, product features, and benefits; assisting customers in locating products; building customer relationships; identifying and resolving customer issues; zone recovery; and housekeeping

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year experience using computers and common retail technology; Less than 1 year retail experience.

• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
