About This Role

The Scheduler will coordinate patient appointments and manage provider schedules for medical procedures, tests, and studies, ensuring a seamless and efficient care process for patients and providers.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate multiple provider schedules for medical procedures, tests, and studies
• Ensure timely scheduling through effective communication
• Accurately gather and verify patient insurance and documentation
• Process reports and provide exceptional customer service to patients via phone and in-clinic assistance
• Perform duties according to department and campus-specific expectations
• Accurately schedule procedures and follow up on scheduling variations to optimize patient safety
• Answer phone calls and schedule patient appointments
• Receive, prioritize and respond to incoming calls as appropriate
• Communicate with patients regarding appointments and instructions for procedures and tests
• Manage direct fax scheduling requests and the handling of scanned documents within the software system

• Medical Terminology experience or equivalent hospital experience
