SCA Forklift Operator

About This Role

Operate material handling equipment such as sit-down and/or clamp forklifts to move, relocate, stack, and count merchandise while maintaining safety and efficiency in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Stack and store merchandise in designated areas using a forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations
• Pull and prepare products for shipment
• Ensure the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped
• Perform picking duties in an efficient manner meeting customer service standards
• Move product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
• Maintain appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory control and security
• Assist in physical inventories
• Ensure proper stock rotation

Requirements

• Excel knowledge plus general computer knowledge
• Basic safety understanding in operating equipment
• Ability to use RF scanning equipment
• At least 3 months forklift experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment
• Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours
• Ability to lift and/or pull 50 lbs without restriction
• Attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills
• Basic math skills
