Sanitation - Overnight Total Store Sanitation Specialist - Part-Time

About This Role

Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the store's departments, fixtures, and equipment by performing sanitation tasks with a sense of urgency. This role ensures food safety and sanitation standards are met while assisting customers when needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain department cleanliness and safety with a sense of urgency and prioritization
• Deep clean and disinfect processing areas, equipment, fixtures, coolers, floors, and drains
• Maintain proper documentation and certification of chemical handling and sanitation verification functions
• Properly use chemicals and cleaning tools
• Use H-E-B chemical program and correctly organize and maintain stock in maintenance room
• Apply basic knowledge of product, product handling, and food preparation processes
• Apply basic knowledge of assembly and use of department equipment for sanitation purposes
• Apply knowledge of different types of insects or rodents and placement and use of pest control traps
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are achieved by following SOPs
• Communicate maintenance needs, process improvements, problems, or solutions to Store Leaders
• Work with and around customers, attending to their needs
• Assist customers in the location of product
• Perform all duties of Total Store Sanitation Rep when needed

Requirements

• Minimum age 18
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in maintenance / sanitation
• Ability to work late evenings and overnight schedules

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in maintenance / sanitation

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of OSHA Guidelines
• Basic knowledge of product, product handling, and food preparation processes
• Basic knowledge of assembly and use of department equipment for sanitation purposes
• Ability to identify types of insects or rodents and place / use pest control traps
