Deli Food Service Representative

About This Role

As a Food Service Representative, you will provide superior customer service while preparing, packaging, and merchandising fresh deli products. You will ensure the department is well-stocked and maintained, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service by taking orders and assisting with product selections
• Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh products daily
• Slice, package, label, rotate, and cull products for poor quality
• Clean and sanitize display cases and operate/maintain equipment properly
• Comply with H-E-B food safety, sanitation standards, and operating procedures
• Record production and shrink to aid in planning (Deli)
• Use ordering system applications and Fresh Production Planner (Deli)
• Perform inventory management processes (MSI, PAW) as required (Deli)
• Ensure catering orders are prepared and ready for customer pickup (Deli)
• Perform sanitation and maintenance tasks for Deli slicers

Requirements

• Minimum age 18
• High school diploma, or equivalent
• Ability to complete Company Orientation and food safety/sanitation training upon hire
• Strong customer service skills
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Reading and writing skills
• Planning and organizing skills
