Pharmacy Care Representative

About This Role

As a Pharmacy Care Representative, you will provide excellent customer service and patient care in a team environment, extending beyond filling prescriptions. You will process prescriptions, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. This role contributes to helping people live healthier lives within the H-E-B Pharmacy system.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and patient care, working with Pharmacists and Technicians
• Process written and refill prescriptions into RXEVO and at the point of sale (POS) system
• Manage and maintain prescription-related paperwork and files in the Will-Call area
• Handle customer transactions at the register and process various prescription types
• Assist with Rx screening events, flu shot scheduling, immunization scheduling, and MTM events
• Receive, check in, and stage OTC inventory, contacting vendors for discrepancies
• Comply with HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality of PHI
• Comply with TSBP rules and H-E-B SOPs for patient counseling and PSE transactions
• Ensure department and work areas meet presentation, organization, sanitation, and maintenance guidelines
• Maintain H-E-B Rx screener status and complete required recertifications

Requirements

• Minimum age 18
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of all required training and certification
• Working knowledge of pharmacy-related tasks, H-E-B RXEVO system, register procedures, and H-E-B Pharmacy SOPs
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Mathematical skills (including calculating measurements)
• PC skills (including MS Office and H-E-B software)
• Cash-handling skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in retail (preferred); experience in pharmacy a plus
