Salesforce Commerce Cloud Developer

About This Role

Develop and maintain the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform, focusing on SFRA architecture, JavaScript, and API integrations for a long-term contract position.

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware), specifically SFCC and Site Genesis or SFRA architecture
• Utilize expertise in SFRA, ISML, controllers, routes, middleware, cartridges, pipelines, Business Manager, and site preferences
• Develop with JavaScript (ES6+), CSS/SASS, and build cross-browser responsive UIs
• Proficiently use OCAPI (Shop/Data) and SCAPI, understanding auth, scopes, and rate limits
• Work with SFCC backend scripts, jobs, services framework, and custom objects
• Integrate APIs (REST/SOAP) and Kafka (topics, partitions, consumer groups, schema/serialization like Avro/JSON)
• Debug and monitor using logs, site analytics, and APM tools, performing UI and server-side performance tuning
• Apply Git-based workflows, CI/CD, and Automated Testing
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum environments with stakeholder communication and vendor coordination

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware)
• Proven experience with a major e-commerce platform; direct experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and Site Genesis or SFRA architecture
• Strong expertise in SFRA, ISML, controllers, routes, middleware, cartridges, pipelines, Business Manager, and site preferences
• Solid JavaScript (ES6+), CSS/SASS, and cross-browser responsive UI skills
• Proficient with OCAPI (Shop/Data) and SCAPI; understanding of auth, scopes, and rate limits
• Experience with SFCC backend scripts, jobs, services framework, and custom objects
• Hands-on with Kafka (topics, partitions, consumer groups, schema/serialization like Avro/JSON), and API integrations (REST/SOAP)
• Strong debugging/monitoring skills using logs, site analytics, and APM tools; performance tuning on both UI and server-side
