Safety Manager

About This Role

Lead and manage safety programs across asphalt manufacturing facilities in Georgia, ensuring compliance with MSHA, OSHA, and NFPA standards. Conduct hazard assessments, implement controls, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance through training, audits, and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain safety programs and procedures in compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and NFPA standards, and state regulations
• Conduct hazard assessments and implement controls for asphalt production and maintenance activities
• Lead safety training, toolbox talks, and emergency drills for employees and contractors
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and track corrective actions
• Monitor leading indicators, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance
• Manage safety programs in 15 asphalt plants, 2 concrete plants, and 4 maintenance shops in Georgia

Requirements

• 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing or heavy civil industries
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards 1910 & 1926
• Knowledge of safety management systems
• OSHA 500, 501, 510, 511, or combination

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing or heavy civil industries

• Asphalt manufacturing experience
