This role is for a Safety Manager at a top construction company in Miami, specializing in commercial, high-rise, and multifamily projects. The manager will be responsible for ensuring project site safety, developing safety culture, and implementing training programs.
Responsibilities
- Perform safety inspections and audits on project sites
- Collaborate with office leadership to further develop the safety culture
- Conduct in-person and virtual safety training and orientation
- Conduct safety pre-planning and lookaheads with different teams
- Participate in project meetings
- Ensure Subcontractor compliance with OSHA regulations and training requirements
- Author project-specific safety plans
- Develop and implement new training programs
Requirements
- College degree in a Safety related discipline
- 5+ years' experience in Construction Safety
Qualifications
- College degree in a Safety related discipline
- 5-10 years' experience in Construction Safety
Nice to Have
- OSHA 500 certification
- CHST certification
- CHSP certification
- CSP certification
- Other professional safety certifications
