About This Role

Safety Managers at LPR Construction are responsible for independently leading and enforcing safety policies and procedures on projects, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and/or administer site-specific safety plans in accordance with company policies and OSHA regulations
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate hazards
  • Lead safety training and orientation sessions for new employees and subcontractors
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions
  • Monitor compliance with safety standards and ensure all personnel are aware of and adhere to safety protocols
  • Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and craft workers to address and resolve safety concerns
  • Maintain accurate safety records, including inspection reports, training logs, and incident documentation
  • Develop and conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks to reinforce safety practices and procedures
  • Ensure that all personal protective equipment (PPE) is available, in good condition, and used properly
  • Implement and monitor the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) process to identify and mitigate risks before work begins
  • Utilize safety data analytics to track leading indicators and develop strategies to prevent incidents
  • Promote and enforce the use of Stop Work Authority, ensuring that all employees have the right to halt unsafe work conditions
  • Communicate safety performance and initiatives to senior management and other stakeholders

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in safety management, construction management, or related field
  • 10 years construction safety experience OR CHST credentials with 5+ years relevant safety experience
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in safety management, construction management, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 10 years construction safety experience OR CHST credentials with 5+ years relevant safety experience
