About This Role

Construct and repair building frameworks and structures, including stairways, doorframes, partitions, rafters, cabinetry, siding, and drywall for a leading general contractor specializing in various markets.

Responsibilities

  • Construct and repair building frameworks and structures
  • Assist with assembly and removal of concrete forms used for concrete installation
  • Build and install window-frames, doors, doorframes, staircases, stairways, partitions, millwork, trim, siding, drywall, and overall building frames
  • Ensure layout of flooring, roofing, and drywall are leveled and compatible
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp project requirements
  • Measure and calculate the size and amount of material needed, including cutting, shaping, and smoothing wood or other required materials
  • Assist with handling, transporting, and setting door frames
  • Load, unload, identify and distribute building materials, machinery, and tools
  • Promote a safe work environment and communicate jobsite hazards, including securing the jobsite

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to take initiative and ask questions
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Reliable transportation and consistent work attendance
  • Must provide own safety footwear
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers and stakeholders
  • Strong mathematical reasoning and quantitative skills

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Entry level

Nice to Have

  • Experienced in construction layout, blueprint reading and shop drawing reading
  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • CPR & First Aid Certification
