About This Role

This role manages the daily operations of the rooms area departments including Front Office, Engineering/Maintenance, and Housekeeping, focusing on improving guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing financial performance. The manager ensures compliance with standards and procedures, contributing to the property's overall goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the execution of all operations in the rooms area departments (Front Office, Engineering/Maintenance, Housekeeping)
  • Improve guest and employee satisfaction
  • Maximize the financial performance of the department
  • Monitor compliance with standards and procedures
  • Lead a specific team while assisting with meeting or exceeding property goals
  • Translate property goals related to guest tracking and productivity to the team
  • Create a property environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Understand employee and guest satisfaction results to develop improvement plans
  • Proactively address employee and guest concerns
  • Assist in performing annual Quality audit with General Manager (GM) & Regional Director (RD)
  • Review financial statements, sales and activity reports to measure productivity and goal achievement
  • Interview and assist in making hiring decisions

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 2 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • 4 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area (with high school diploma/GED) OR 2 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area (with 2-year degree)
